I was born in Dublin, Ireland, the eldest of four, in 1961 and joined the Congregation of the Mission in 1979. Ordained just before my 26th birthday, I served first as a teacher of English and French in St Paul's College, Raheny. Following two years in a retreat centre in London, I undertook Doctoral Studies in Chicago, before moving to All Hallows College, Dublin, in 2000. I came to Mill Hill as Parish Priest in 2019.
